Revisions: Getting Your Project Just Right

We want your finished ebook to be exactly what you dreamed of! Our revision process is designed to work hand-in-hand with you to make sure your project perfectly meets your initial requirements and our quality standards.

Here's how our revision process works:

Provide Clear Requirements Upfront: To start strong, please give us all your project details and requirements before work begins. This helps your creative team understand your vision from day one.
Collaborate During the Process: We highly recommend staying in touch with your writer, editor, or designer as they work. You can provide feedback and guidance directly in our platform's chat or by adding comments to the document. Making changes during this active phase (if they're reasonable and align with your original brief) helps avoid bigger revisions later. If you feel a creative isn't being responsive to reasonable in-progress requests, please let our project admin team know.
Standard Revisions Included: Your chosen package includes a certain number of standard revisions. These are for ensuring your project adheres to the original requirements you provided. They do not cover adding new content that wasn't part of your initial brief.
Timely Review is Key: Once your project reaches an approval stage, you'll have a specific timeframe to review it (indicated by a countdown on your order page). It's crucial to use this time to identify any necessary revisions.
The Revision Process: When you request a revision, you'll enter a phase to add your comments and feedback. Please provide these comments as soon as possible. Your creative will then make the necessary changes and resubmit the project for your review, starting a new approval countdown.
Out-of-Scope Revisions: If you need changes that go beyond your original project scope or standard revisions, these can often be accommodated for an additional fee. This covers the extra work involved and ensures our creatives are fairly compensated. Our team can provide specific quotes for these types of changes.
Your Approval Matters: Once you approve a project or if the review timeframe expires without a revision request, we consider the project complete and satisfactory. Any revisions requested after this point will be subject to additional charges and may depend on your creative's availability.
Specific Revisions:
For writing, editing, and outline projects, each "round" of comments constitutes one revision.
For narration, design, and illustration projects, revisions involve amendments to the existing submission, not a complete re-creation (e.g., a narrator can re-record a section, but not an entire chapter).

What's NOT Included in Standard Revisions:

Requesting entirely new content not in the original brief.
Asking us to copy and paste content you've written yourself.
Major re-structuring or image rearrangement if not specified initially.
Submitting revisions via screenshots or external lists (please use our platform's comment system).
Requesting formatting or tone changes if not outlined in the initial requirements.
Changes based solely on third-party AI detection tools, as their accuracy isn't guaranteed.
Clicking "Request Revision" just to stop the timer without providing immediate feedback. Our creatives are not paid until revisions are complete, so timely input helps everyone!

Remember: Your active involvement by providing clear instructions and timely feedback is essential to getting the best possible outcome for your project!

Refunds: When Things Don't Work Out

While we always strive for solutions, we understand that sometimes a refund may be necessary. We handle all refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Here's how our refund policy works:

Contact Us First: If you have a concern that might lead to a refund request, please reach out to our Customer Success Team right away. We're here to help and often can resolve issues through support, project adjustments, or reassignments.
No Refunds on Fulfilled Orders: Due to the nature of our digital products and the work involved, we do not provide refunds for orders that have been successfully completed and fulfilled.
Partial Refunds for Started Projects: If a creative has already begun work on your project, we cannot offer a full refund. A partial refund may be available, depending on the progress made by the creative. This ensures our freelancers are fairly compensated for their time and effort.
Full Refunds for Unstarted Projects: A full refund can only be issued if your project has not yet been allocated to a creative and no work has commenced.
Processing Refunds: If a refund is approved, it typically takes 5 to 15 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your financial institution. We will notify you via email once the refund has been processed.
Original Payment Method: Refunds can only be processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase. If that method is no longer valid, we may offer store credit instead. Please note, we are unable to process monetary refunds for PayPal payments made more than 180 days prior; in such cases, store credit will be offered.
Third-Party Publishers: Do My Ebook does not offer refunds or revisions for difficulties you may encounter with third-party publishing platforms (like Amazon KDP). It's your responsibility to understand their guidelines and communicate any specific needs related to them when you place your order. We are not responsible for projects that do not comply with external platform requirements.

We are passionate about helping you achieve your ebook dreams, and we'll always work to find the best possible resolution for your project.
